Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window
An aircraft carrying the US defense secretary was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the jet's front window, per an announcement which verified that all passengers were secure.
"The aircraft touched down based on established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, including Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," a spokesperson stated in a online announcement.
Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the Belgian capital during the flight.
This occurrence does not mark the first time that a American defense plane ferrying a top government figure has encountered technical problems.
In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was compelled to turn back to Washington DC after suffering a technical issue.
